New Toy - Mini RC Helicopter

For the past few months I've been addicted to a particular online store. www.dealextreme.com
All of my friends know that I love it. All of my friends also love it. Why? Because they sell really cool gadgets...for really low prices....with free shipping. Things like flashlights (not your $2 Go-Lo toys) and lasers (Green ones. That pop balloons, light matches and melt things such as chocolate lol)...as well as RC toys.

On the way home from work, my sister told me that I had received a package today. I knew exactly what it was and couldn't wait to get home. My "World Smallest Pocket RC Helicopter" had arrived. I carefully removed the bubble wrap (and massive amounts of sticky tape) to find a substantial sized box with pretty pictures on it. Within a few minutes (insert 6xAA batteries into the transmitter and plug in the Helicopter to charge), I was in action.

I'm still not a pro at flying the thing (my skills are limited to hover and "guide it away from walls") but I'm having tonnes of fun. For less than $24AUD delivered, I suggest everyone buy one.

Here's a youtube video of some guy playing with his one:

Cityrail Havoc MKII....and my first Bridge Walk!

As the SMH reports, Cityrail services between Wynyard and Gordon were halted today after a section of roofing from a train carriage was blown off while travelling across the Harbour Bridge. The flying debris brought down power lines, causing rail delays.

This is not the first time that rail services have been cancelled on the north shore line, preventing commuters from crossing the harbour by rail. An earlier incident occurred a few months ago, creating huge delays as people had to wait for buses to replace trains.

I was at work in North Sydney today, and rather than join the crowd/mob of people (stretching around halfway down a city block) waiting for a train, a few workmates and I decided to go for a walk across the bridge. How exciting...it was the first time I'd walk across the harbour bridge.
We bypassed North Sydney station as well as Milson's point, taking only 30mins or so to walk from my building to Wynyard. I bet those poor souls waiting for buses at North Sydney were still standing in the cold by the time I was on a train.

Smell that, Marv? Y'know what that is?....It's Freedom.

Guess what ladies and gents....

My semester is over. No more lectures or assessments. My last exam for the semester was this morning and I'm now feeling a strangely euphoric vibe. Not quite pure euphoria though, because some of the exams were quite gruelling, however I'm glad they're over and look forward to some more relaxing over the next few weeks. Had a nice celebration lunch today too!

About Tung

After reading Raye's latest entry, I've also found some questions that should give a "comprehensive" (read: light-hearted) personality breakdown of myself. If you know all of this information, you qualify as a low-level "friend".

Pirates of the Caribbean SECRET ENDING

Farout, we left the cinema too soon. As the credits started rolling Raye asks me "Hmm, how come the lights haven't turned on yet? I bet there's something cool after the credits." I promptly replied "Psssht, I doubt it. Let's go".

How WRONG I was.

Stuvac comes early this semester for the Yr 3 kids doing Medical Radiation Science at USYD. Fun. NOT!

Stuvac now, exams next week and 3 weeks of clinical placement for me right after. SOMEBODY check on me every 15 minutes and make sure I'm studying.
