Last day of uni!!

It's been a LOOOONG time coming. Twas my last exam this morning and boy was I glad it's over. Last exam for this semester, for this year, for this entire degree!!

How do I feel? Pretty good. Not maximum capacity euphoria, because I still have to worry about getting a graduate position somewhere later, but still good.

After the exam, the uni crew (all four of us) headed into town to meet up with a few other highschool people who had just finished their exams too. First thing on the agenda was ice-cream at Baskin Robbins, Railway Square. With today's hot weather, my single scoop Rocky Road cone was ingested before the cashier had time to give me change. Okay, maybe not THAT fast, but it didn't take long. Yummy.

Lunch was at "Michitaro" the Japanese restaurant in Capitol Square. I had the "Spicy Chicken Kaarage", with rice and some salad. I was a bit too tired (and hungry) to have any real appreciation for the taste, but it was "nice" (the most vague descriptor I can think of at the moment). I also tried a new drink, a Japanese soft drink called Calpico Soda. Not to be confused with Calpis water. Hard to describe the taste, but I liked it.

After heading up to the 1st floor of Capitol Square (sticker photos, skilltesters and IT stores) Simon and I spent a while wandering around checking out the prizes on offer (while the ladies looked at stickerphoto machines...Ewww.) A medium sized Donky Kong plush caught my eye. $5 (3 attempts) later, it was MINE. The guy after me managed to win no less than 5 of the toys within a few minutes though. I must have blessed the machine.

Soon, exam fatigue had caught up with everyone and it was decided to head home early for some much needed rest. But on the way home, a slight detour (thanks Simon!) allowed me to pick up my most anticipated purchase in recent times... a Nintendo Wii. Awww yeah. I'm a bit too tired to set it up right now but hey, I've got plenty of time to enjoy it in the coming weeks.

In other news, my churn/transfer to ADSL2+ was approved today. $60 for 30gb (plus another 20gb off peak). Hooray! FYI, this exuberant download quota will be used entirely for legitimate and legal purposes...

All in all, one of the best day I've had in ages. If only Raye was here too...
